Height insoles vs height shoes: the truth
Both add height. Only one was designed to. A plain comparison of how each works, how it looks and how it feels by the end of the day.

Insoles are cheap and easy to try, which is why most people start there. The trouble is that a standard shoe was never designed to hold a raised foot.
How insoles work
A height insole is a wedge of foam or gel placed inside an ordinary shoe. It lifts the heel, and with it the whole foot, inside a shoe cut for a foot sitting flat. Most are comfortable up to about an inch. Beyond that, the problems below get worse quickly.
Where insoles fall short
How height shoes work
In a height shoe, the lift is part of the construction. The internal wedge and the outsole are designed together, and the shoe is shaped around the raised foot, so the heel counter, collar height and toe box all fit as they should.
From the outside, it reads as an ordinary shoe. That is the whole point.
Inside a Zunuci Vallo: the lift sits within the construction, not on top of it.

When insoles make sense
To try out the feeling of extra height, for a single occasion, or in a pair you already own and love. They are a fair place to start.
The verdict
For everyday wear, the lift belongs inside the shoe. You get more height, a proper fit and a shoe nobody looks at twice.
